I'm not Walliman but I dare to answer what I think. Anyone can participate as long as you can record. No skill level was stated in the initial post. What's most important is that the ones participating learn the look and sound of Lydian and inprove as a guitar player.
So make an effort to make a good solo, as good as you can at your present skill level, and finish as a better player with a little more knowledge.

That's my approach to this at least.

That's exactly what I was gonna say. :-)
As long as you can record. :-)
There's no real time limit, as long as you have the gear to record...
Just be reasonable and let's try to get it done in about 2-3 weeks...

so is it 119 or 120 or something else?

Tempo is 110 BPM..
But it shouldn't matter, as long as you play on of the track...
