Hello folks,
I can't see anything suggesting this is a cut down version. what do you think?

THere is a button over there that says "download education" looks like an upgrade version to get full features. From the web site. You probably get the education starter version and then you can upgrade if you have a th3 license.
Attention all TH3 users! Simply select the TH-U Upgrade version to get all the new features for your special discounted price. Any customers who purchased TH3 Full after Jan 7th are eligible for a free upgrade to TH-U Full.
Either way at that price its a great deal. A third of full retail.

Thanks buddy,
Is actually half price of retail. I've emailed them but they won't get back until Monday.

My bad. Half price retail. Still a great buy. also shared that quote talking about it begin an upgrade for anyone with a previous th3 license.
Any customers who purchased TH3 Full after Jan 7th are eligible for a free upgrade to TH-U Full.
But hey, maybe you just found a vendor who wants to eat a 50 percent loss. If so, they are officially getting all of business from now on! Let us know Todd
Yeah that quote in red is from the official Overloud site, everything is just pasted from the official site except the price. That's what's strange,, it reads no differently to the info on the official site, not one bit of it, even that bit about the free upgrade if purchased at a certain time.
I have seen it before when companies sell thing for minimum profit to get you in their shop, even supermarkets sell things at a loss to get you in, they call the "loss leaders" https://www.accountingtools.com/articles/2017/5/16/loss-leader-pricing
I'll wait until they get back to me.
Cheers

Best deal i've ever heard but for the once a year deal they have around xmas. ENjoy! it's killer.
+1, thats an incredible deal! I had no idea there were such bidding options very cool
I haven't even switched my Helix on since having this. Easy to use as a standalone and a plugin.
Must get it through my amp one of these days,
Yup It's got so many killer tones on deck, quick and easy to build patches, can be set to load with a daw project. It's so handy that I found I stopped using my fx unit/pedals/etc. I use my outboard gear now and then these days, but mostly it's overloud for most things. Especially for recording. It's the "killer app" for the home studio imho
Todd
I'm loving TH-U more each day, and now I have a third monitor, shoulder height to my left about a foot and a half from my shoulder I love it even more, I can easily see everything for tweaking. Lovin it lovin it lovin it.
I remember having the same sort of feeling with I first found overloud. It's just great. One can build killer tone from scratch or start from an existing preset and build it any way you like. It had more flexibility than any other plugin I'd ever tried and it had everything all together in one plugin. I didn't have to use 3 plugins to get a tone, eg. amp sim, cab sim, fx, etc. The presets are just text files so any version can open any preset which is great. Also they work with boutique amp vendors in Italy to get really great amp sims. Not to mention the new kemper "ish" function. I've tried em all and Overloud is the one I keep coming back to.
For recording, it's a huge blessing. Makes it possible to go back way after a recording and change anything about the signal even if you used an old version years ago. Just handy. Of course, this functionality isn't unique to overloud.
I have not made use of the second signal path feature very much. But, it's yet another cool feature. As many racks/fx as you like, and two discrete signal paths. It's just an awesome bit of kit. Oh yeah, love the harmonizer too
Todd
Yeah it's awesome, so many patches in the Italian boutique amp too.
I know there is an acoustic simulator but are there any acoustic amps in there for piezo?
Cheers
