Hi everyone, I come up with this little backing track in the stryle of Shine on you crazy diamond.
Cause it is my first collab, I will put up to 10 slots. Closing time for signing in is September 15.

Style: Eight measures slow blues.
Key: G minor
Time signature: 6/8
bpm: 130 the eight, 65 the fourth. (this is tricky, this bpm are from the eights which are played by the hi-hat, but my daw uses fourths for beats so if you are using cubase, use 65bpm)

progression:

6/8:||: Gm|Gm|Dm7|Dm7|Cm7|Cm7|Gm7|D7#9:||

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Just play as many choruses of the progression you want, I set a long BT so everyone can play as much as they want.

yes
i'm in!!!

Gerardo:
I think you should upload an 8 bar BT, and THEN anybody can play more than one set, otherwise it may cause some rythmic irregularities if everybody cuts off the BT in their DAWS

Will leave it open slots for everyone, then I'll see how will I make it for the comentaries. Here is a shorter BT, it is a 2 chorus version, and is what I sugest for the extension of the solos, goodluck.

Gera, I'm not going to have a recording set-up in time for this collab. I just wanted to say thanks for such a great backing track biggrin.gif Like many other posters, I can't stop trying out new ideas over it. Even soloing on acoustic works well - kind of mixing "Shine On ..." with a "Wish You Were Here" vibe!

Thanks again. Maybe one day I'll find the time (and the courage!) to sign up for one of these collabs!
