New DAW from Propellerhead, it's called "record".
Looks easy to use and with enough functions. As I understand it's possible to sign up for Beta testing now. An alright price too, 299 USD/EUR. -------------------- My bands homepage

Sounds very interesting, and the price is tempting as well. They did excellent that trailer on the site!

Uhm... Someone told me there will be no VST support in this program, and if so it's a bummer... Still looks way cool though, but I'm not going to buy it for 300 USD if I can't use my VST plugs. Hopefully he's wrong I read up on this and I come to the same conclusion. No VST support! And the reason is that they want to keep a closed system in order to avoind CPU sucking VST's. Bad call IMO. Why not leave that up to the user. In the sence of household with CPU it's something I can appreciate but still, leave that to the user to decide. Also the Line6 guitar plug only has 3 modeled amps and a couple of cabinets. If you connect a Line6 devide you can use everything from that. So without a POD or similar you won't have that many sounds. I do have a POD, what I would miss with Record is a drum plug. To quote Timothy Self on their page; I thought it might be good to share some thoughts on one of the questions that seems to be making the rounds: “Record doesn’t support plug-ins? Are you guys crazy?” http://www.propellerheads.se/company/crew/...plan&PID=18 My own reflections. If Record is stable as a closed system, it's all worth it. I've ran Sony ACID which started to become slow after the intro and first verse when a few VST plugs were added. Recording some further audio tracks, like a chorus, killed ACID and it often froze for minutes. Reaper, I like this DAW but I must have struck some bad luck with it since it used to crash a lot. Very unstable. Havn't tried the new version 3 though. Record is still an option for me. I like simplicity rather than countless options, an intiutive interface rather than an interface which can do everything and boil a pot of coffee but you have to have been with the program since version 1.00 be have a shot at understanding it. Record still looks useful to me. -------------------- My bands homepage

You can open some other standalone aplication in the background and play guitar through that while recording in "Record". I have just read many comments on different blog articles on their site. This DAW is just great with some great features. All the things that are missing can be done in a couple of different ways but I am sure that very soon within 4-5 months those features will all be included. I would recommend this DAW to everybody. -------------------- Check out my <a href="https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/instructor/Emir-Hot" target="_blank">Instructor profile</a>

Looks awesome! Really simple and great interface!
Since it's still in the beta, I bet a lot of the feedback will be about the VST option, and the creators might include it in the release after all. If they do, I'm gonna buy this! -------------------- GMC is not just a website... It's a lifestyle!

Downloading the demo right now, looks great. Edit: I will buy this, I'm 100% sure. Edit 2: I got the wrong program. Signed up for the beta instead. Uhm... Hopefully he's wrong Yeah, most likely, there is full Reason in there and they want to keep thing "in family". -------------------- Youtube

I signed for beta testing couple of days ago
and I also got reply (few days after) which says beta testing is over, so they gave me a code to use Record freely while I'm online. This code will work until new Record is finally released in September, if I'm right. -------------------- Youtube
