How long have you been playing?
I picked up the guitar for the first time when was 11 and i went to music school where my mom worked as a piano teacher! They had a really cool guy teaching guitar and he invited me to give it a shot! I finished that school in 5 years but unfortunately i didn't spend the time as i should have - i didn't practice at all! At that time i never thought of playing electric guitar but around the age of 15 i started playing electric guitar and it was my first contact with a pick as till than i was only playing finger picking style and classical music only. Now i am 19 (almost 20) and i've been playing guitar seriously for around 5 years. How much do you practice? A lot! Sometimes 5 and sometimes 7 to 8 hours a day! My all time top practice session is 13 hours long! How do you practice? I almost don't warm-up but jump on exercises immediately! I also don't jam along some songs or stuff. All i do is playing exercises which btw. i create myself so i don't use any instructionals or tabs. All i play i create myself. Also sometimes instead of practicing i compose my own songs which will be a material for my first CD. Do you have CD? Not yet! I'm working on it and hope to release something in 2-3 years! Do you play in a band? No! I used to play in a band which you can hear here - www.stage.fm/darkshow but the band was not working too hard and i decided to quit because of both players skills differences and musical tastes. I find it much more productive to work on songs/music at home on your own! Do you have a website? Yes! Pavel Denisjuk It will soon be changed to a new domain name and i will notify you here! Any suggestions on how to become a good player? Set your goals and work hard to achieve them! Practice a few hours each day and do it with your mind fully concentrated on what you are doing!
