Posted by: Kristofer Dahl Sep 7 2008, 11:19 AM

For quite a while we have been lacking a good page for gathering GMC series, but no more of that - today we present GMC...

http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/lesson-series.htm

We hope this will facilitate browsing the GMC archive - we also hope to be able to present more cool series to you. (As you know there are some ongoing ones which will make it to this page as well).

PS Soon you will be able to access GMC series via the Video Lessons page (header menu).

This is beyond cool biggrin.gif

Posted by: Oxac Sep 7 2008, 12:29 PM

Looks awesome!!! But I think that you've forgot some series of Pavel. I believe he made tons of lessons that would fit in a "serie".

Posted by: Kristofer Dahl Sep 7 2008, 12:37 PM

We have left out many lessons which have other "related" lessons to them - we only want to create series of lessons which were actually intended to be part of a series.

NICELY DONE!!!

I have a suggestion for another series that should be there: "Canon in D" =)

Posted by: Guitar1969 Sep 9 2008, 11:07 PM

But where are Master Jedi Kris' GMC Seriess such as his 101 Pentatonics, Tapping, etc. I still think these are some of the best - Maybe they can be put in the subfolders with the other similar lessons or something, but I don't think they should be left out. What about a separate Box titled "Kris 101"

Posted by: Kristofer Dahl Sep 10 2008, 10:19 AM

Thanks for all the great feeback! For those of you who missed - the series can now be found on the http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/video-lessons.htm page! smile.gif

Having a canon package on the series page is a cool idea - I will ask Maria politely! smile.gif

Since we have got quite some requests for "missing series" which you think should have been shown on the new series page - I want to clarify again that this new page is not only for gathering what we have got so far, but more importantly to provide a place for upcoming series - which will follow a much more pedagogical structure than what we have got so far.

Two examples of that are Andrew's "First steps" and Jerry's "Jazz notes".

Many of the related lessons we have got are longer lessons split into multiple lessons - or just lessons that were gathered under the same name. There is nothing wrong with those lessons - but they do not match our vision of where we want to take the new series page.

All in all - if you give the new series page some more time, I hope you will agree that it will only raise the GMC standards! smile.gif

I love the idea about lesson packages!
Its a great way to present important topics in one place. Music is such a wide concept so this will definitely help and make things organized for both beginners and serious players. I especially like the idea of the series being updated so that there is not only specific number of lessons for each category.

Good job Kris and Maria !
