Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Well played. Here are couple of suggestions:

- when picking, try to do alternate picks (do down/up/down/up...), instead of playing only downstrokes all the time
- try removing your pinky and ring finger from the pickguard
- practice this very slowly with the metronome at first, and see if you can get the picking movement right: it should be from the wrist, more than from the elbow
- watch for your timing - it needs to be sharp: you need to practice on slow tempos in order to get it right, and try to tap your foot so you have the sense of doing it properly with the drums

just 3 days??? wou man! smile.gif
I agree with Ivan's suggestions. I would add that in the original lesson Bear doesn't use Alternate picking technique so maybe that way you used only down strokes on this one. Also.. try to pick stronger the notes when you are playing the exercise. The timing isn't right in some parts so I suggest that you use the guitar pro file, set a slower tempo and practice over it.

Hey Sande! Congrats on your first take biggrin.gif for 3 days, I think you are pretty awesome tongue.gif

I agree with what the guys said and in addition - in time, you will become more and more relaxed, once your technique improves, but in order for that relaxation to occur, you should practice slowly so that you may be able to control each and every note! Follow Ivan's advice and you shall improve! Keep rocking mate!

to start this is a great take, on the last part I felt that you rush a little bit, be aware of that,

Your technique looks good so far, keep doing it!
