Well for my senior year, Our yearbooks were particularly grotesque and a lot of money, So instead, I took my Jackson (JS40 I believe) and covered it in Gesso, Which is an Acrylic based paint that turns any surface into a canvas so you can write and paint on it, And I had everyone sign it, Its not particularly beautiful, But its really special to me, and this is what turned out PS I apologize for any vulgar jokes you might be able to read You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick. The paint on my telecaster is beginning to wear off and I'm really thinking of just turning it into a frankenstein guitar. It's not even a "real" tele, it has a carved top, its made of basswood and has a p-90 in the neck, and the volume tone and pickup selectors are in a different configuration than either the tele custom (two hums) or normal telecasters. So I think I'll make it an all purpose frankenstein and pimp it out with some new pickups (thinking a tele bridge and some epic metal humbucker in the neck). But anyway, i'm rambling. Since the paints wearing off and I'm just now graduating too maybe thats the way to go, where do you get the stuff? And could you seal it with polyurethane or something similar? You can get the stuff at any arts + crafts stores, Usually by the paints and acrylics. The acrylic base is the best, Takes about 3 coats to cover the guitar, and when its dones, you can by Acrylic Seal in a can that does the job perfectly, i used one called 'Crystal Clear'.
