Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi!

Good to see your new take!

You are doing a great job, I have to say the same thing to you that I said to 'emirb'. Namely to choose more challenging lessons in order to your development !

Your take is nearly perfect, there is only a little phrasing issue that I feel I have to talk about (because it's important IMO).

Vibrato:

Vibrato is one of those 'phrasing techniques' that a musician can be recognised from (for example: Zakk Wylde, Stevie Ray vaughan, Johnny Lang, etc.)
Every great musician has his own typical vibrato.
So it's very important to develop your own vibrato.

Your vibrato currently is a little bit 'frustrated' yet.
My advice to you is to listen to musician you respect and like, and focus on their vibratos and try to imitate them, then develope your own.
Try to make it more relaxed and harmonic first . . .
It takes a lot of time, but it's worth to be concerned.

Anyway, I gave your take a 9, because I found it entertaining (almost perfect).

Cheers !

Hey Jeanv!

Mate said it all. What I'd like to add is to try and keep your timing from the beginning till the end. At the frist few bars you are behind time a bit.

Cheers

Almost perfect man. I agree with mate and Zsolt. Though I have to congratulate you on your tone, it was almost identical to Gabriel's tone in the lesson.

very well done man! I really enjoyed listening to your take.
pay attention on your vibratos, do not think of intonation and stuff like that while practice, try wild vibratos, move the string with no fear and let yourself falling into the water of expression. while you are experimenting, you gradually find your own personality.
Mate's tips are just great!

anyway, your take deserves 9!

well done_!
