Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Blues Vibrato - SRV Style 2 by Denes Nagy

This is a great lesson but I had some difficulties with the backing track. The track supplied doesn't seem to be the same as the one in the main video, or at least it is missing the rhythm guitar. I played along to the main video from the SRV STYLE 1 lesson. I hope that's ok.

Nice tone! Nice timing and bends, but the vibrato needs more work Frankie! Now Mr SRV was the kind of player with a vibrato which was mean and wide! Listen to him do it and try to emulate it on the take wink.gif

Hey Frankie, I'm loving that tone !! cool.gif

Yes, as Senor Lupu says, you can go wider and more agressive with thy vibrato.. try to avoid fast and narrow vibratos like the one near the end as they have that 'wasp stuck in a jam jar' sound that you want to avoid. All good though, just add to it and take it further smile.gif

Everything is very good but vibrato, which is a bit fast and unprecise. Try slowing it down, and making the movement more wider. Try watching some SRV style vibrato on the web, so you can see how he's doing it, he's shaking whole guitar smile.gif Well played take, I'll give 8.
