Hi Gab. I saw you asked these questions to another person to start their thread, so I thought I would just jump right to this step. I look forward to your reply.
- How many time have you been playing guitar? I've been playing for 20 years. - Favorite guitarists, bands and musicians. Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac. Guitarists: Peter Frampton, Peter Tosh, Jimi Hendrix, Don Felder/Joe Walsh on Hotel California. - What are your guitar goals? I simply want to be able to play lead guitar improvised solos - How would you like to you see yourself in 5 years (related to music and guitar)? I am currently a lead singer in a funk/blues/rock cover band, so I'd like to also be a lead guitarist/vocalist in 5 years. - How many time can you play guitar each day? Every day for at least 20 minutes. - Do you have playing live experience? Somewhat. Singing, yes, but only acoustic/rhythm stuff on guitar. Ive never lead solo improvised live. - Which are your strong and weak points with guitar? I am good at playing rhythm guitar, so that's my strength. I absolutely cannot improvise at all which is my weakness. - What do you know about music theory? Basically nothing. I know what a "third" is or "fifth" etc. I think... - Can you record videos of you playing? Yes - Share here audios and videos that reflect your current playing. https://youtu.be/m7-mIW_tJ-g My pre-written solo begins at the 3 minute mark. This song is an original. |

Hi mate! Great to find this thread here!
Your song sounds good! I like your style! I think that it's a good plan to work on technique and improvisation during the first weeks here. The first task will be very simple, you'll have to work on the following lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/BB-King-Blues/ The idea is that you work on each lick, focusing on timing, dyamics, bending and vibrato. Practice the lesson over the backing track and record a video of your progress in around 7 days. You'll notice that the solo is based on B minor pentatonic scale. If you don't know this scale please check these lessons: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Learn-...ntatonic-Scale/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Beginn...ntatonic-Scale/ Deal? -------------------- My lessons
