Download a free program called BestPractice. This is very elementary, and will allow pitch shift and speed change.
Audacity is a bit heavy for this kind of use, cumbersome, although it will do both such things. http://www.xs4all.nl/~mp2004/bp/ This post has been edited by fkalich: Oct 2 2008, 05:21 PM |

I use time stretch function in Nuendo for that kind of things, it can work for some degree of decreasing the tempo, and then it doesn't sound to great. First you have to set the proper tempo and align the backing to bars in your DAW. THen you can change it with ease.

Vinod - I never realized you can do this in Windows Media player, I just checked it out - You can actually do it in other formats(I just did it to a wma file). Cool These days I am all about limiting the number of little utilities on my computer so this is cool. Thanks for the tip For others, in Windows Media 11, "Enhancements menu" is under the "Now Playing" box(Little pull down menu arrow) Yeah this must be the easiest option to do it !! We all have Windows Media Player !! Great find Vinod ! -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
