- How long have you been playing guitar?
>Well, that's a bit shameful. I started when I joined GMC 2008, but I would say I am at a very beginners level.
- Favorite guitarists, bands and musicians.
>I like every kind of metal from power metal to death metal but also more laid back, groovy blues orientated music like Stoner Rock.
>I am a big fan of Colour Haze. Like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWn60vLHZoE
- What are your guitar goals?
>I want to have the skills to write and play technical but also melodic solos and songs
- How would you like to you see yourself in 5 years (related to music and guitar)?
>I would like to be able to improvise guitar leads and find fitting melodies over chords. From a technical point of view I would like to be able to play lessons marked with 7+ on GMC.
- How much time do you have to play guitar each day?
>At least 1h every day. In the last weeks when I picked up the guitar again I played a lot more.
- Do you have experience playing live?
>I was in a band for some time and we had a few gigs. It was nothing too serious, though
- Which are your strong and weak points with guitar?
>strong points: My rhythm guitar skills are decent from a beginners point of view. I can play galloping rhythms and tremolo picking at higher speeds.
>weak points: I have no musical background at all, No musical ear, lack of theory, I struggle with timing, I am a slow learner when it comes to learning new songs or lessons.
- What do you know about music theory?
>Well, I can fit all my knowledge into a few sentences. It's not much smile.gif I know there are 12 notes in our musical system. You use these notes to form different scales depending in which order you arrange them. When you create Chords just like scales you follow a specific formula.
Can you record videos of you playing?
- Share audios and videos that reflect your current playing here.
I posted 2 REC takes. There will be more, also in this thread.

Hi mate, thanks for your information! I think that the lessons that you've chosen are good to train your rhythm and technique skills. In order to complement that work (you can continue choosing "in the style of lessons" from our archive), you could work on some solo technique lesson (one that covers bending, vibrato, legato, and / or alternate picking) and you should also dedicate some time of your practice to experiment with scales and improvisation.

I can guide you with any of these things, or we can use this thread to monitor your practice and give feedback.
