I started guitar a little over 2 years ago. I usually play blues type music.. Or bluesy rock. Along with some classic rock.

I just started trying to practice some stuff like Eric Johnson, who is one of my top 2 guitarists (John Mayer being the other). So basically, I am listening to his stuff and trying to copy some of his style. I gonna look up some tabs soon to get some licks from him, but for right now, I am just trying to put his style into my head.

My speed is my main problem. While the left hand has always worked well, my right hand has always lacked (maybe because I am left handed, not sure). I worked on speed for a while when I began guitar, but then I went to blues where you didn't need it, and I developed some sloppy play. =D

Anyway, just trying to see how it sounds. Let me know.

Sounds very good, you keep it interesting to listen to throughout the song.

Like you say with speed, a few really fast licks in the song would spice it up even more.
Good stuff! cool.gif

Wow thats GREAT for only 2 years! Better than me atleast biggrin.gif

Btw, you still need speed for blues(depends of course). Just look at SRV and johnny winter for instance. Theres often a bit speedy licks in blues(Some blues artists atleast).

Awesome man, reminded a little bit of a Jeff Beck kinda style. So much feeling and you obviously know what your doin, how to play to a beat, and with feeling. This stuff takes alot of work it sounds like and it really sounds like it paid off, if that make sense...i don't know
Nice nice Nice

Well I can play bluesy fast... but I meant like Eric Johnson type picking. A lot different than when SRV is playing fast. =D Thanks for the comments guys or gals.

I thought it was perfect on its own. I mean you pretty much got the EJ tone and feel to it and that song is just damn fine work.
