Can someone show me where to find a glossary that defines the tablature notes?

Do you mean C = 5th fret 5th string?
That's something you've got to learn. How to know the fretboard without looking at it. But if you want you can always write the note in the Guitar Pro and you have the traditional notation above.
Let me know if that's what you've asked for.
About learning the fretboard I'm doing a 101 lesson, perhaps that would clarify the topic.

Ok Doug, there are some other symbols for note values.
Guitar Pro uses this:

Duration Legend
---------------
W - whole
H - half
Q - quarter
E - 8th
S - 16th
T - 32nd
X - 64th

I don't use those symbols in my tabs anyway. Tabs are good for a quick reference about fingerings. The traditional staff gives you more info about note duration. So, it's important to learn both systems.
