Ok well I'm not a big fan of actual Floyd Rose tremolo systems for obvious reasons. The main one being break a string you're in some trouble and I tend to do that more often than not. So I'm here for some advisory. I'm about to give you 2 links both of which will take you to Zzounds.com and more exclusively a Weeping Demon Pedal and a DigiTech Whammy Pedal.

Weeping Demon-http://www.zzounds.com/item--IBATLWD7
The Weeping Demon Pedal from what I know, lives up to its name and is damn good! But strictly a Whammy Pedal, not that that's a bad thing.

DigiTech Whammy-http://www.zzounds.com/item--DGTWHAMMY
This one also a Devilish pedal for pretty much double the cost of the Weeping Demon. It does have reasons for this rather large price. Those reasons being- Original Whammy presets, Dive Bomb preset, Rugged new industrial chassis design, LED indicates display preset selection, MIDI in for remote control, Wet/dry outputs, PS750 power supply included

I can definetly get the Weeping Demon cost wise. I'd have to put aside some money and save for a while to get that DigiTech. Tell me what you think I should do. I don't want to be too hasty to buy either of these items with out some imput from someone who may have 1 or both. So please check this out and tell me what you think!

I want the Digitech Whammy for very long time but i just can't seem to get out and get one! I simply don't need it that much! I pretty much became to be a 3-pedals player. Distortion, delay and wah.

But after seeing Vai using Digitech Whammy i am sure i am getting that one. I really like the stuff he is doing with it.

Agreed! I'd like to get one but there around $200 and that's too much for me. I have distoriton,wah-wah, and some kind of weird spacey pedal! It's called, "Series !" ever heard of it?

I tried the Weeping Demon yesterday along with the Crybaby original and the Zak Wild Cry Baby.
I preferred the original Gibson pedal.
Then the guy brought out a Digitech expression factory peddle. It was very good. A lot more $ but was far more versatile. It had a double kick feature kick the toe for a clean sounds with the 7 pre programed effects with adjustments for each with the knobs. Then kick down the heal and it switched to distortion register for same effects. Very cool sounds

http://www.zzounds.com/item--DGTEF7

There is also a Brian May and a Jimi Hendrix version. Apparently the jimi wah was crated by using the original sample tracks to copy the sounds and it required 2 micro processors to get there. All are same price.

Depending on what your looking for this is my next purchase. After reading reviews the jimi wah is great for The Star spangled banner. and Voodoo Child. It has a Univibe feature setting. That alone is worth the price.

I am going to try this one out later this week. I was sold on the expression factory and now think I would rather have the Hendrix version.

Might be worth a look. I missed one on Ebay for $149 today. It sells for $280 here in Canada.

Thanks for the info on your end. It helped me as I was looking for a wah or wammy as well

I'm selling mine now, I haven't been too impressed with it. I hear the original Whammy's are amazing, but I have been unable to get my hands on one of those as they go for about 500$ now.

My ebay auction:

Ends in a day or so.
