Hey guys, I'm really old school but I just got a new computer and would like to use it to record my music.

Here's what I want to do. Record my amp via a Microphone (not modeling software) with drum tracks and add vocals to it. Mix it all down and burn it to a CD.

I don't have a lot of money to spend so I'm looking for a affordable way to do this. Any help would be great as I'm ignorant of how to do this. Thanks, oh I'm running a windows platform computer.

Hey Guys,

It's been a long time since I've been here as I've been in a very dark place for a while now. Seems things are getting better and I missed all the conversation on this board.

Just to make me feel human again. I'm asking all the other Marshall users/fans out there what their favorite Marshall head/amp is.

Personally mines the JCM 2000 DSL 50. Just curious as so many people here are from so many different country's and backgrounds.

Boy I'm glad to be back.

Just wondering if any of you guys experience this with your tube amps. I always let my tubes warm-up on standby for a couple of minutes before playing.

However, I swear my amp sounds a bit warmer and the gain smooths out slightly after playing for 15 minutes or so. Just wondering if anybody else senses this with their amps. It's not a huge change but I swear it's not just me. wink.gif

I'm building a basswood guitar from parts. It has a old Jackson neck maple with rosewood fretboard. The body is a old Ibanez made out of 80's Basswood.

I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite with Gibson's 500t in the bridge and 496 in the neck. I love this guitar and I'm just trying to make a fun backup project out of this old Ibanez and Jackson neck. I'm bidding on a used 500t for the bridge on Ebay and a used Dimarzio Tone Pro for the neck.

Do you think the basswood would work with the 500t and the Tone Pro. I want a hot pickup in the bridge and I thought the Tone Pro would be a pretty good match in the neck position. I'm going to wire the guitar like a Les Paul with a 3 way switch with 2 volume knobs but no tone knobs.

Anyhow, both auctions end in a little over two hours so a little last minute advice would be great.

Thanks,
tommyboy

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to get a backup head for my Marshall JCM 2000 DSL. Nobody locally has a Windsor head so I can't try one out very easy.

I'm not looking to replace my Marshall but a second affordable EL34 tube head would be great for a backup. This amp was designed to be Peavey's answer to that classic Marshall tone. The price new on these things is ridiculously low for a 100% tube amp. blink.gif The sounds clips sound nice. Here's Peavey's info on the amp if anybody's interested.

And check out the price NEW!!

Any thoughts or advice would be great.

Thanks,
