We use a lot of flow charts here in the coporate world and I was thinking how this could be applied here. Flow can give anyone a good focal point on how to accomplish their goals. A path through a lot of information that can be overwhelming at times. By no means this chart I created is done. It maybe very inacurate as well. But Im hoping that an instructor can fill this in with the appropiate flow. Or email me bullet point of specifics in order and I can create the chart if noone has Visio. It can a few different charts varing from... 1. The Begginer guitar player - Inmtroducing parts of the guitar 2. Picking a different Style - From begining to end, With matching Video and Exercises 3. Music Theory - From knowing nothing to accomplishing something 4. A chart encompassing from the beginner to advance in a specific style. I hope this makes sense. I think it can be a useful tool for anyone that needs a clear cut agenda rather than asking all the time "Where to Start". Like me Attached is a sample one I create in Visio here at work. What happens is i tend to move in EVERY direction.. scales, techniques, theory.. which can ruin the focus.. having a "plan" like this would make it easier.. I know everyone should have their own lesson plan, but new players may not even know which direction they want to take.. rock, blues, jazz, shredder, etc. and at what point would it make sense to learn the theory behind what you are doing?!.. when you feel like it, during your practice with that particular subject, or after?? From the chart its would be obvious that you need a specific skill set before moving to the next one etc. It would also be a way to cross off the things as they master them and move onto the next.
