I've really gotten back into history lately in a big way. So I spend a lot of spare time reading about different things, from Classical Antiquity to the Anglo Saxon era and various other things in between. Only yesterday I was reading about cathedrals and Charlemagne's digs at Aachen. As you do.

Cars are a big passion of mine. Physically, I can't afford to do anything about that but I dream...... biggrin.gif

The reading is a big monstrous addiction of mine... if I could afford it I would also be travelling and visiting museums as well as important landmarks. I admire your pastimes, sir;)

I enjoy watching you argue with jstcrsn and Rich tongue.gif

Your very lucky to live in the UK. I've been wanting to visit the British museum for many years. I'd probably need a week to see it properly, and my wife would get board too fast. I was at the De Young Museum in San Francisco yesterday checking out the Georgia O'Kieeffe exhibit, and the Abstract Art exhibit. Both were amazing. This weekend I'm visiting the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco to see the Ancient Yoga, and Himalayian Buddhist exhibits. When I go to a museum; I get my moneys worth. For $10 I'll spend 8 hours. I usually wear people out who go with me; because I like to be slow and mythotical. wink.gif

Snowboard and ride dirtbikes. Not a good hobby for someone who wants to progress at guitar because of the risks of injury. I got hurt last summer recovered. But had to motivate myself to get back to guitar. By the more I play the more I want to. Getting older and my body is starting to feel the effects of Injury. Time to calm down.

I used to do a lot of MMA and judo, but I decided to quit that when I began here at GMC because my fingers would usually take too much punishment ( especially at judo ). I dont really do anything now except play guitar LOL! Im very boring.
Although, Im currently attempting to build a guitar. Im not the best at that kind of thing tbh but Ive always wanted a custom guitar made to my own specs / design so I thought 'what the hell' rolleyes.gif

Anything spiritually engaging. Reading about human nature, the chance for everlasting world piece, mindfullness, sinister things that humans have been capable of in the past(like war, hatecrimes etc). Trying to understand some of the moral injustices we face everyday, like why slavery is different from having a job. Pondering what freedom is. I like to paint a lot, and write(altho it's been quite a while since I wrote anything that wasn't filled with a much juvinile anger and feeble hatred for humanity and our ways. I'm not that dark tho. Watching documentaries about big business darkness or even about how people and animals are mistreated for no justifiable reason is also one of my favorite passtimes, it makes me think about if there's anything I can do to make the world better. In the end the answer seems to be, I can't... BUT DAMN IT I WILL TRY! Playing the piano is also one of my favorite leisure activities, altho people observing me practicing would probably not consider it a leisure activity. I feel that only through music and art can we really make people become more emotional(good or bad) which is what I personally think the world needs to actually start reacting to all the crazy shit that's going on... and hopefully realize our potential to be a loving, kindspiritedly habitualized place of freedom and compassion. But it's all just wild dreams and thought pattern labyrinths that I tend to walk around in. I'm reading a book currently called "Beyond War - The Human Potential For Peace" which through research tries to challenge the "we're evil by nature" statement that has been edged and coined over and over by historians and imaginative archeologists for decades. It's all good tho, I can be as happy sitting on a rock anywhere just being as trying to remember 200+ decimals of pi.

My God, I'm a nutter aren't I?

I like to go at riding horse. This thing relaxing me very much.
I watch at horror movies and organize photo session for my friends. I spend around 7-8 hours at a session and I transform my friends completely smile.gif I love that biggrin.gif
When I makeup a girl it take me around 1-2 hours to be perfect for photo lights and a guy makeup around 30 minute. Make around 500-600 pictures and I chose only 5-6 photos. But I'm proud of result and no complains until now tongue.gif Actually a lot of people ask me to make them pictures and they want to gives me money for that but I start to refuse them, because I don't have time for this anymore.
I'm very exigent when it's about photos and that's why I don't have pictures with me because I can't clone myself and make my own photos with me biggrin.gif

I've been a graphic artist for the past 25 years and have been an Art Director for the past 8. For 2 years I ran my own business but the stress and hours were too much for me, so one of my clients offered me a dream job (for my field) so I comfortably tucked myself into that organization. I use to do a lot of freelance after work on nights and weekends but gave that up years ago.

In my spare time, guitar and studying the paranormal (from ghosts to Near Death Experiences, to Out of Body Experiences to UFOs) has been my passion. Until recently I was a moderator for the past 6 years on one of the webs largest conspiracy sites. I gave that up because of the stress. There are some mean and crazy people on the internet. Having been a moderator on that site is another reason I am so reluctant to post videos of myself on this forum. I quit just last month, so I'm hoping that anxiety will fade with a little time. I had people attempt to look me up to learn more about me personally, in an attempt to either manipulate or just mess with me - I don't know. There was also someone that somehow figured out who I was via Facebook, and then attempted to "friend" my son on there - for what reason, I do not know. But being a moderator on a forum such as that, you walk around with a target on your back. I've been accused of being everything from a government shill to a member of the Mossad, to even someone saying I was their "handler". I'm just a boring married guy trying to get his kids through college - so after 6 years of that mess, I just deleted my account there - and have felt a 500 pound wight come off my chest.

Man, that sounds like a bit of a crazy situation, Im not surprised you ditched it. I would have as well.
Ive always been interested in paranormal stuff as well, I dont particularly believe in anything but some of that stuff has always been quite fascinating to me.

I understand. The only way to become a true believer in anything on the subject is to have a a first hand experience of your own, I really believe that. Some things just defy all rational thought, and until you are a first hand witness and the rug of reality has been ripped from under your feet - it's very natural and normal to be skeptical. It's great you have an open mind to it though. I've found that extreme skepticism is no different than any of the most rabid fundamentalist religious types - and is really a faith in and of itself. You know the types, that have 200 explanations for 100 instances, says everything is "swamp gas".

I had my business (small business) for a few Years and same as You I had to give up. I thought felt that taking care of company takes almost same time as doing Your regular job. I looked at myself and as if I'm able to live this way when after doing my regular duties, I had to think about the company things...instead of focusing on guitar. That's why I quit. And...yeah...I was a graphic designer as well smile.gif So many people from different places all over the world...yet still so many common things smile.gif

Another cool thread! ok, about me... I like traveling, reading books, watching movies, going out to the theater, to a restaurant, going to music concerts, going out with friends or meeting them for an "Asado". Visiting my grandparents, my brother, my sister, my mom. Yesterday we had a reunion with my sister and mother, she cooked very tasty food and we had a really nice time. I love these type of moments.

I don't care what anyone says, History is as interesting as it gets.

I've been wanting to read on Charlemagne for some time actually, is it worth the exploration? He seems so badass because he was Napoleon before Napoleon existed -- with the whole 'pan-European' stuff.

Obviously when I say he's badass I don't mean I approve of all the killing tongue.gif

...just in case nobody got that.
