Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Here's the original lesson. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/hard_r...ng_and_vibrato/

I used an Ibanez GRG170DX, into a Line6 PodXT, into my computer.

Rhythm placement 4.5
Cleanness 3
Feel 4
Posture 5
Sound 4.8

Very cool take! You got the overall vibe and attitude right which is very important with this style.
Let me give you just a couple of pointers where to improve your playing.

Rhythm placement - you were very good, but a couple of notes that were syncopated in the original lesson (starting before the beat) one eighth note later (on beat). Other than that, it's perfect!

Cleanness - that's what you have to work on the most, in my opinion. You've had an unwanted strings ringing in a couple of places and you need to work a little bit more on the intonation of the bends and vibrato. You got the basic technique bending and vibrato technique down right, but you just need to smoothen it out a little bit. You also need to work a little bit more on the 2 faster licks in there, especially the hybrid picking one at the end.

Feel - you got it very good, I felt the attitude in your playing, you just need to fix the intonation and your feel will improve as well!

Posture - nothing wrong here, as far as I can see

Sound - it's very good, I'd just maybe dial the gain back just a little bit!

Very good take Matt, I think you just lost the rhythm a bit in the second faster part. Other than that very good.

Very nice take Matt !
Rhythm placement dropped in the second part and your sound was not perfect here, but you got great feel for the lesson (playing it with right attitude and accents). Good work !
