We are currently looking for instructors who can produce 1-2 lesson(s) per month. Styles which are not covered at GMC are especially interesting.
We have three available spots.
To apply, send an email to kristofer (at) guitarmasterclass.net with a youtube link that showcases your playing and video/audio quality.

The idea is to give the GMC community more versatility and higher lesson update frequency. If you would like to make a request for a specific style or instructor feel free to use this thread.
Well Kris....I believe I would be able to step up to the plate, and deliver 2 lessons per month. But my lessons wouldn't be "Metal", I'd probably attempt to delve into some blues, funk, jazz, country, and more. Also, I would like to continue on the "Video Game Music" series that I attempted when I first started here. I had no interface, and being just a student lesson, I didn't "polish it up" the way I would for a REAL lesson!
I'll throw some vid references to my playing below. PLEASE keep in mind, that I have not submitted anything even close to the level of quality that I would require of myself, if submitting for a lesson. Also, since I started GMC, I have purchased a new interface and camera, so I believe I can submit videos at an acceptable quality level (although no cool gree-screen effects like Ben Higgins!! Well, not yet.... )
Some of my strengths:
-I believe I am a very good "teacher", and am able to relay concepts and details very clearly.
-I am a very clear speaker.
-I would offer a different style, than the instructors currently onboard at GMC.
Sorry, but since I've only recently (because of GMC!!) gotten my interface, I don't have a real solid example of a quality video with quality recording. Most of the vids I take for GMC, are more "live" because I practice on the clock at work. But just a quick look at "me"!!
My first attempt at a quick "student lesson" (not on interface/old camera): http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=42949
My NES band, "EMULATOR" :
A "student warmup" video I did, when I first started at GMC (no interface/old camera):
My REC vid (at work, not on interface/old camera): http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=42927&hl=scofield
If you're interested, I'd like to submit another (higher quality) lesson, either an NES lesson or something else entirely. Again....my NEW camera is WAY better, and of course the interface recording/tone is great as well. I just haven't submitted anything of acceptable "lesson" quality....because I didn't know you'd be looking for instructors!! Here's a newer practice vid, with the new camera. A HUGE difference, compared to the dark vids my old camera took!
If you're not interested, no worries. But I really think that, if given the chance, I could craft some great lessons for GMC!
Also....I'd LOVE to do a lesson, "In the Style of Eddie Roberts" (Of "New Mastersounds")!!
I LIKE THE IDEA OF VIDEO GAME SERIES, AND FAMOUS THEMES TOO:
som suggestions:
super mario
the A team
the simpsons theme (complete)
Mortal kombat theme
pirates of the caribbean
batman theme
superman theme
Tetris theme
etc
I now that almost everything is on you tube nowadays but let´s give them a gmc format!
Those are some great ideas!! At the moment, my band currently draws more from the NES platform, but I'd LOVE to do a Simpson's theme arrangement!! I'll post some vids soon (awaiting our latest HD shoot), but we do a HUGE Mario medley which incorporates songs (and Mario dies, and gets a star!) from 1, 2 and 3. We also do 2 songs from Tetris as well. But I like every suggestion you threw out!
I Like this idea a Lot, I can Teach a Synfonic Rock, Like Steve Vai´s Sound Theories Composition, you know Synphonic Orchestra with Electric Guitar, some cool melodies and a great ambience. I´m gonna send you some of my songs in this particular style, just give a couple days.
Thanks for this Great Opportunity
Milton
I can also deliver 1-2 lessons per month As you know i have made a lesson about in the style of Metallica which you can find in SI boards. Also i am preparing many more lessons, 1 of them is about neoclassical soloing, 1 of them is about Kirk Hammett style soloing and the other one is about John Petrucci style odd time riffing. I can record and send them as my previews if you'd like Kristofer
Cheers,
Dogukan.
Sounds cool, new instructors are always good to have
I'll stick to my SI lessons in the style of german bands though
How about contacting some of the youtube guys? There are some amazing guitarists out there which would suit this site really well.
I'll post some names this weekend.
Christian
I immediately thought of
(thanks goes to whoever it was that introduced me to him in a GMC thread the other week)
I've just started to try and learn this piece
I don't know how good his English is and to be honest I don't think he would bring anything different that Gabriel etc could provide
I dont know, we dont have much rockabilly music and early rock around here? My teatcher is a rockabilly player.
But maybe it would be cooler with something totally new.
Thanks for the great feedback! Submissions will be answered via email!
I've emailed 3 guys including Charlie
Positive response from this guy
He getting in contact
I would suggest him:
He could give hair conditioning tips as well!
What you think about a class or course for:
- Music business
- Band Management
- Promotion
- Band money management
- Touring and booking agency
Just an idea but it can be interesting

Bye!
Hey everyone,
I just logged in again after years of not being active at GMC. I saw that the site was looking for instructors so I sent an application to Kris. Here's my video:
I've been playing guitar for 12 years now and that's all I do in my life really. The styles I feel most comfortable with are blues, jazz, funk, soul, pop, rock and classical (I played classical guitar for a loooong time).
I really hope you want a teacher in these areas.
Hope you enjoy it!
Awesome Tolek! Good to have you back. Great playing.
Hi I mentioned before my interesting for this opportunity and here are one example for my music style, its kind a melodic instrumental orchestral rock music. I hope you like it, the songs call Ensueño. enjoy
this is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4BUuTYtC44&feature=youtu.be
Is it possible to ask this guy? I find him pretty melodic.
There are many suggestions of outside players based on playing ability alone, gosh the guys in those videos are fantastically good! However, with a level of skill adequate for instructing, some of the GMCers (students) I've seen videos of have also displayed the motivation, commitment, and scope of interaction an instructor must have (despite playing well). Already vetted job candidates...
I concur he's good, I'm going to have to transcribe that solo, so so many songs we do at church have that progression and there are loads of awesome ideas in that solo to freshen things up.
Have you guys found new instructors yet ?
What about this guy ?
He's lefty so it's easier to look how to play 'cos it's like watching from a mirror.
Just kidding ! But he's really good and looks like he has tons of equipment.
I think this guy is really awesome , leftlanetheory
I'd take a lesson from these kids anyday
