I came across her today, had not heard of her. I find a number of British artists from the 80's and 90's that I had not heard, of, little air play because not appreciated by brain dead America mainstream America. She is probably known by the British, played with some bands that look pretty good, that I had also not heard of.

She had a lot of great songs, not usually country, but this one is. I like this performance, she is singing to the most unresponsive German audience imaginable. They are corpses. But she still is full of energy and enthusiasm. They clap at the end though, I did not know that dead people could clap. She really had a great voice, I have found a lot of great songs by her today.

She died in 2000 tragically, and heroically, saving the life of her child.

While I am, here is one of my favorite country songs by one of my favorite all time country singers, Patty Loveless.
