I have been listening to Satch (Joe Satriani) for a while now, and I have always wondered how he does those crazy squeals, like in Satch Boogie. I know it has to do with the Whammy bar, but I am not sure... Anyone have any ideas?

Yeh, his usual ones are doing pinch harmonics on an open string, then using the whammy.

heres a video:

His usual ones go-

dive down with the bar (using left hand)-> pinch harmonic on open string (g string??)->up with the whammy! + add that whammy bar vibrato cool.gif
