Hi

I was wondering what would be the main difference between the two. Can you use Superior drummer for programing drum tracks like you use EZ drummer? In all videos I´ve seen about Superior drummer it´s used with external electric drum kits.

Yes, you use them both the same.

Superior drummer is just more advanced. More detailed samples. More mixer functionality.

SD 2 is a lot more advanced and expensive. You can use SD for a more detailed customizing of your drum tracks, since it has pretty advanced mixer, and randomize algorithms.

One thing with SD 2 tho, is that it doesn't have any MIDI groove library, like EZdrummer has. Like Gilmore said, it is best to use it with external drum kit, or if you already have MIDI track with drums, you can assign SD 2 to it.

I believe so too. You have to buy the product, and get the authorization code with it. You can install the plug, but it will ask you for the code when you first open the plug in your host app.

SD2 comes with EZPlayer and is bundled with a bunch of grooves by some famous drummer guy called NirZ - that aspect of it is harder to work with than EZD but it does have some really cool grooves available, though not quite as many as EZD.
