Hello guys! I'm working on some lessons covering Ska Punk and I was wondering if you like this style and which are your favourite bands...
"Ska punk is a fusion music genre that combines ska and punk rock.[1] It achieved its highest level of commercial success in the United States in the late 1990s.[2] Ska-core (sometimes spelled skacore) is a subgenre of ska punk, blending ska with hardcore punk."
These are 2 of my favourite..

I've always liked Rancid. Tim Armstrong is a very talented guy, as is Lars Frederikson too! Do you know Lars side project "Lars Frederikson and the Bastards"?
I shall have to go listen to some more Sublime now!! Thanks for the H/up!!

Hey Gabe! I also like Sublime and these guys also:
I think that nailing the chord changes in the beginning in a clean way is a great material for a ska lesson

Yeah, the progressions, the rhythm (the strumming is VERY important), the rocker solos and the melodies... I'm listing the most important concept. Thanks mate.

Highlight and copy the last part of the URL, the part after the = sign in the address bar. On the left of the page, underneath the smilies you'll see a box titled 'Quick Access', click on 'Insert Youtube' and then paste the piece of code into the 'Content Text' box and click OK and that should be it!! EG. Your last Video you posted.. you would copy the part zHO4bqaIkIw and paste that into the box.

I like Ska-Punk!
We've got a bunch of cool ska punk bands in Germany. The most successfull at the moment are "Die Broilers", though these guys are more of a regular punk band nowadays. They toured with Die Toten Hosen this year.
El Bosso is a guy from my hometown Münster, I was actually at the concert where the DVD was shot...didn't find myself in the video though
I wonder why you forgot this spanish Ska band called Ska-P?

Ska Punk is one of the most under appreciated genres of all time. Lessons on it would be awesome! I'm a big punk guy and have played in some punk/ska punk bands in my time for sure.
