Hi

I`m working on Zsolt`s Cowboys From Hell lesson, and I`m struggling a bit with the really long-stretch lick in the solo. Not necessarily because of the speed, but because of the wide stretch. My wrist hurts a bit after practising it a few times, so I don`t know if I should carry on.

My question, if I tap that last lick (like I`ve done before when playing it), and that tapping lick contains as good as the same notes with the same timing, can it be reckoned as a good alternate and still score 10 on the song (just hypotheticly, I doubt I`ll be able to hit it THAT perfect laugh.gif ) ?

I would definitely give you a high score if you nail it well (but with a work around).

Yes - but I can't say it as a general rule, but in this case yes.

Great
I think I can manage the lick dime-style with good practise...but in this case: good practising hurts a bit too much. Blast my small hands laugh.gif

Since its a famous song in question, as long as you play the right notes and its sounds good you will get a perfect score from me! Same for other lessons, you don't have to necessarily use same fingering as instructor, for some parts, but if you are comfortable with it and it sounds good why not do it alternate way (if its a logical one too). At least that goes for my grading style.

I believe if you really cannot play it like originally intended, and if you find the method that produces the same sound, I don't see why not you cannot get a 10 wink.gif

But thanks for you answers, I`ll do my best! Probably won`t be uploaded this weekend though, 2x halloween party and gig, and on sunday I believe I REALLY need to relax tongue.gif

I would give you a 10 for originality and creativity. Its awesome that you are finding your way around how to produce exact same thing using other techniques, well done smile.gif
