Yes, this thread is really about sandwiches. What a cool invention. When the cupboards are bare and there is little or no choice of what to eat, you can usually make a sandwich out of something... sometimes they're great but sometimes they're regretfully bad.

What are the best sandwich combos in your opinion ? What are the worst ones ?

I think one of the best is a decent ham sandwich with good bread, lettuce, mustard and salad cream. Or a marmite sandwich ! Or bacon and egg..

The worst ? Well, for some reason I think that some things should never come into contact with bread. One of those things is cheese and another one is fish. 2 things that are disgusting when combined with bread. So how you guys can eat a tuna sandwich is beyond me !! tongue.gif

Cheese is fantastic and I always try and include it in sandwiches.

The greatest sandwiches in the UK are from Pret a Manger. Crayfish and Rocket and their Club sandwich are gorgeous.

I love sandwiches! Especially Grilled Cheese!!!

Honestly, though I am with Cosmin. Anything goes on a sandwich. I have even been known to break my diet for a good sandwich.

One of my favorite sandwiches:

- Roast Beef (rare)
- Lettuce
- Yellow Mustard
- Onions
- Oil & Vinegar
- Salt & Pepper

Also, Ben, I'm a big fan of Tuna sandwiches. Toasted bread, provolone cheese... yeah buddy.

Also saw the comment about the pressed Cuban. That's up there with my favorites as well. Any kind of Cuban/Mojo chicken or pork is a-okay with me.

A sandwich without cheese is no sandwich!!!
And I love smoked salmon on mine.
Other thann that, you can't go wrong with ham, tomato and cheese.

Come to my country and try some Smørrebrød either on sandwich bread or more commonly rye bread.

Yes the bottom one is a fish filet, and it actually is good, and normally I'm not a fish eater

But what about a Nutella sandwich, yum yum!
