Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi guys,
my second try, this time a bit more difficult than the last time. I tried to master Gabriel's Joe Satriani Style Rock lesson ( https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-gu...ani-style-rock/ ), I didn't do it flawless, but let's see what you'll say.
I used my favourite guitar, an Oakland ZX 1200 my father used to play since the Seventies and he gave it to me when I was 11 years old (meaning 1992). My amp at home is a Behringer V-Tone GM 108 with 15 watt. Video recorded with my Nokia 6120 cellphone, Audio recorded with EnergyXT 2.5 software. Mixed together with Movie Maker. It doesn't let me cut the videos, so don't mind the hectic movements in the beginning.
Here we go:

By the way, can you tell me once again how to implememt a youtube video, so that it shows on this site?
Thanks!

Nicely played. You have some timing problems in the first part, and most of the bends are a bit weak. Your picking hand should be more relaxed as well. An 8 for this.

Nice take. Some timing issues connected to tension, try relaxing as much as you can smile.gif

You really need to connect those notes much smoother. You're not relaxed when playing. Also your guitar is a bit out of tune. The take isn't bad but can be better.
