Well I ain't a deathmetal man, but theres always the singing method, not everyone can do it, but you can try. just picture the solo in your head and sing it then tab it.... That's what I do always. and if you are able to tab what you sing then you can't go wrong with it.

I thought it was the bass line that makes certain flavors of heavy metal so heavy. So jam with your bassist and keep the licks you like.

32nd notes mixed with weird sounding tapping, sweep picking and interesting dark melodies mixed in.

Listen to Death - A Moment of Clarity solo
Death - Trapped In A Corner

Both tabs are available on ultimate-guitar so analyse those.

If you tab out the rhythm riffs in guitar pro then I'll write a solo for you if you want?

If you tab it out in ASCII? Or in notepad with Courier font with added note lengths I will tab it in guitar pro and write you a solo.

Tuxguitar is just as good as Guitarpro. I've heard about cases where a guitarpro tab isnt always 100% compatible and apprantly the gpro file on my previous lesson had some troubles. But it seems to be rare smile.gif
