I played it an awful lot, stopped 2 times and am now terribly slowly leveling my first char towards 80 (still 70 though tongue.gif). Chances are high that I will quit again soonish smile.gif

i still have a month of subscription left, but haven't playd for almost 3.5 weeks, played quite a lot, but now i think the game is boring and i have better things to do, like playing guitar, playing with the band, hanging around wiht my friends, think i'm gonna lvl my main up to 80 (almost 79 now) and that's the last thing i'll do on wow.

just so you know laugh.gif got an 78 mage, 70 druid, 62 paladin, 59 rogue, 59 warrior and a 65 death knight,
seems a lot and high but on the paladin, rogue and warrior i used Recruit a Friend so i did those 3 in like 2.5 weeks...

Bingo. My friend was an avid Everquest player. The game tracks how long you have played. He had logged over A YEAR of his life playing that game blink.gif ohmy.gif

I will never play those online games! WAY too time consuming! Besides...I still desperately need the guitar practice! tongue.gif

To be honest it's only as time consuming as you want it yourself to be (believe me I know - played way too much, but now very limited). And it all comes down to things like whether you are a 'gamer' or not. If games are only remotely interesting for you, the whole game will soon be uninteresting. It's as with several other things in life: it is no problem to do it, but don't overdo it.

Trust me my friend. I am a gamer. I just refuse to pay a subscription fee a month to be a gamer.
Besides I'm addicted to FPS's. smile.gif

Never played World of Warcraft. Can't either because I have other more important things to do (homework, projects, songwriting, etc.) and I don't need an addiction to a computer game to get in my way.

Plus playing guitar is better tongue.gif

I am a very avid fan of the RPG genre, but I will not touch this game with a 40 foot pole, I have too much school/guitar time.... I know that If I will start playing that game, I will get sucked right in

I love these threads.

Its like somebody asked if you ever did heroine.

Since when did a game ruin anyone's life? Its a game... Like checkers. If you like it, enjoy. If you don't, then don't play. But don't feel like your only option is to sell your house, go on tour, and become the checkers king of the universe.

Unless thats what you want of course.

And I really like the "No, I'm too busy playing guitar." responses. Do you give that answer when someone asks if you called our mom recently? Or walked the dog? Or mowed the lawn? Or took your sweetheart to a movie?

Spend your time how you like. Balance is key in my opinion. Games dont ruin people. Poor management of ones own life does that.

If you have such an addictive personality that you cant sit at a computer and enjoy a game for a bit without it taking over your very existence then I'm willing to bet guitar will ruin you as well....

What do you think is easier? Getting to lvl 80 in WoW or playing like Muris?

Hmm. To me the question should read. Whats more gratifying.
