I have said it before on the forums but I tried my mates guitar out last night after I told him to get some Texas Specials for his Strat and WOW. The sound of them always blows me away. If you are a blues guitarist or you like pickups to scream and give you some incredible sounding notes then these are the pickups for you. They aren't cheap and they obviously work best in Fender guitars but if you have a Strat and some money then get some of these beasts and you wont regret it. You will be blown away by the screaming blues you can create that other single pickups just can't get near.

They get a big thumbs up from me. Anybody else tried these pickups in a guitar or got them in their guitar? What do you think?

Friend of mine has them in a Mexican custom strat, totally agree they sound awesome! another friend of mine buys & sells Fender guitars, if they need a bit of work he always puts a set of Texas specials in he swears by them! plus as well he seems to get much better money for the guitars he puts them in, seems a lot of people really like these pick ups smile.gif

I really want to grab a Strat and get these pick ups put in but I need to buy an amp really so I really haven't the cash. Unless I got a Mexican Strat I guess which is an option.

the mexican strats are an excellent option, most of them I have tried (including my own) I have often prefered to a USA strat.

I must admit when I tried a US strat I was so disappointed I didn't play another for 4 years. I've played a few since that have been great but I think I will buy a Mex Strat and stick some texas specials in and see how it goes. biggrin.gif

I have a strat, but i love my stock pickups that came with it, i guess i will have to try one of these in store to see how good they sound.

If I wasn't so fond of my Noiseless's-es...es I would get me Texas Specials.
