Picking is dealers choice, though I'd suggest alternate picking as the best option as we don't traverse strings. This one requires a stretch/reach and that you use your pinky. It's written specifically to discourage using the firs three fingers as the first finger never moves and the pinky is the only option to reach the 10th fret. Then again, if anyone can do this with the first three, you are welcome to. Yet another great warm up drill and good way to work on synch, pinky stretch, etc. Your pinky has come a long way! I wrote this drill like this to make it virtually impossible to use the first three fingers alone to play it. The reach is just too far. You are on a roll!! You just.. LEVELED UP!!!
