Here's a soundclip of the amp mic'ed up with one Shure Beta57A microphone!
I've sold my soundcard and my studiomonitors, but I tried the best I could and think it sounds pretty good!
I have a semi-pro soundcard in backup, so I'm not totally lost wink.gif

The drums are a little low on volume to get the guitars up front (after all, that's why you're listening to this!) wink.gif

*DRUMROLL*

Amptest: Attached File  amptest.mp3 ( 2.2MB ) Number of downloads: 191

Tell me what you think, did it sound alright? smile.gif

Here's a soundclip of the Soldano mic'ed up with one Shure Beta57A microphone!

You wrote the name ^^^^

wink.gif

Now I thought it sounded like a clean SLO 100, don't know the Reverbosonic but now after hearing the clip I'm leaning more towards the Soldano biggrin.gif
Though the odds speaks for a Mesa 5:50. how many Soldano recto would there be out there anyway, in Norway. I'm guessing it's as many as in Sweden, Zero! ohmy.gif

Mesa, Soldano, Soldano, Mesa

Could you give us a few days more to think this through??? Please!! tongue.gif

If I was choosing one of those amps I'd go for the EngL or Framus every time. Mesa amps really don't cut it for me. And I haven't tried a Soldano or Bad Cat sad.gif So I wont comment on those smile.gif

I'm guessing BadCat.

Edit: But on second listening, Framus could be a good guess too. But I'm sticking with the BadCat

It's time for the grand unveiling ceremony of my new amp!

There's been quite many guesses, many WRONG guesses laugh.gif
A few people got it right, including me tongue.gif

Here is what's been said about the amp:

  • The combo guitar amp of your dreams.

  • The clean is an awesome VOX AC30 sound only warmer.
Tons of headroom and takes on the character of any guitar you use.
The dirty channel has the most stunning distortion I've ever heard. Very organic, it sounds alive.
This amp can howl and give you that beautiful throaty growl like nothing else.
    Similar to a Matchless DC30.

  • Waaaaay too much gain in the Lead channel (Not a problem for me laugh.gif)

  • It's the best I've ever heard! If you don't use the Clean Channel much
you might be surprised by how much you will with this amp.

  • This amp goes from crystal clean to flesh searing gain and stops everywhere between.
Massive headroom and lush full bodiness. Crisp and true passthrough of every note you play,
this amp forces you to be a better guitarist. Actually, it inspires you to be a better guitarist...

  • The gain side of this amp is mind blowing.
Every single guitar I put through it sings with cascading sustain, and enough full thick gain to scorch anyone.
Roll that gain up higher and you have a weapon of mass destruction at the end of your cord...
After playing for so long, this amp is the first one since the begining that gives me that "edited for language"
adrenaline rush when I crank it up.

  • I've owned A couple Fender Twins, a Marshall Superlead, a pair of Laney 50w heads,
an original Vox AC30TB, a dual rec. Boogie, and a JCM 900. This amp blows them away
in the versatility and raw unadulterated tone, every single one of them.
If it were stolen or lost, I would sell body parts to get the cash together and buy another one.

  • Can get a Fender Twin clean to a Marshall Plexi or Matchless tone. Very cool.

  • Dave: This amp blows laugh.gif

And here's the specs:

An uncompromising Boutique amp, that unifies, by its 2 channels, the best of 2 worlds in itself:
acute, clear Cleansounds and closely saturated overdrive full of pressure.
The two 'mismatched' Celestion speakers complement one another to a simple,
harmonious tone and offer a multitude of possibilities with the microphone system cut-over.

  • 30 watts Class A alltube combo
  • Valves: 1x GZ 34 by Sovtek, 5x ECC 83 by JJ, 1x ECC 81 by JJ, 4x EL 84 by Sovtek (selected quartet)
  • 1 x 12" Celestion Vintage 30 speaker (60W, 16 ohms, 100dB, frequency range 70-5000Hz, resonant frequency 75Hz)
  • 1 x 12" Celestion G12M Greenback 25 speaker (25W, 16 ohms, 98dB, frequency range 75-5000Hz,
    resonant frequency 75Hz)
  • Speaker parallel connected
  • 105dB
  • 4/8 ohms switch
  • Clean channel with Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble controls
  • Lead channel with Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble and Master controls
  • Integrated Accutronics spring reverb
  • Parallel FX loop
  • Weight: 30 kg
  • Dimensions (W/H/D): 0,76 x 0,54 x 0,28 m
  • Made in Germany

Here's the soundclip I posted earlier, for those of you that haven't listened to it yet: Attached File  amptest.mp3 ( 2.2MB ) Number of downloads: 155

Haven't guessed it yet?

Oh my giddy aunt. Audio I am buying one. Do you think selling my Marshall JCM800 and buying one of these is wise? I need a smaller amp and this looks and sounds beautiful. WOW. I may have to shoot myself I'm that fond of that sound lol.

I'm buying one. smile.gif You've twisted my arm. laugh.gif

I'm smiling too much and I don't know whether it's the amp or the Dr Pepper that's causing it laugh.gif
