GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Historic Moment Is Argentinian Soccer

Hey guys! Let's talk about Soccer! The most important teams here are Boca Juniors (my favourite) and River Plate (the classic rival). River is in a very bad moment an today they have a final match and if they don't win 2-0 or more they descend to the B League! This would be vainglorious. Let's see what happen... the match starts in less than 2 hours.

River Plate descended! It's so sad to see all the violence that soccer generates... the fans are breaking everything....

My brother used to be hard core fan here, they had a banner, had lots of problems, fights and all. O contrary of that, I could never understand what was all the fuss about, wild kids running and fighting like animals, organizing themselves and conducting battles like in middle ages, crazy

If that team is now second league, will there be no more lasting derbys of these two teams?

Exactly! We won't have the Super Classic this year at least... Boca Juniors fans are doing lots of jokes regarding this...

Samre reason why I didn't want Liverpool FC to go bankrupt and get relegated at the start of the 2010/2011 season. I'm a life long Everton fan and still think the two Derby matches are great. I also think it's good for the city to have two teams in the top flight league though I suppose Tranmere Rovers and Everton would be better .
BTW they showed video of the riots on TV here

I was supporting River, kinda sad to see them go down for the first time in their existence. Lots of players that are in my favorite team in Portugal (Benfica) were "raised" by River.
I don't comment on the violence, people are nuts.

Generally I'm in favor of riots, especially when they're against the government. But starting a riot over a soccer game is a bit ridiculous.

Just for you Gabriel:
I don't know where this guy is from or what are they talking about, the joke is that they translated it as if he is a Boca fan ( River's nemesis) and the girl told him that River had lost the category, so he is so happy that starts to dance in an hilarious way. Look that face OMG!
