Thanks you guys smile.gif And yeah man, I get sick this time of the year every year probably because of the changing weather. I swear there's sunlight in the morning, and one hour later, there's a heavy storm sad.gif the weather changes by the hour these days. So unpredictable

This collab is gonna be insane! It's gotten almost 6000 views, and I think mostly everyone that's active here at GMC is participating smile.gif Can't wait to see the final product biggrin.gif

Hey Taka! Nice to have Your take! Cosmin is right at the point of some dynamics missing smile.gif It's nice You could play clean and with good tone. Now think a bit of adding more colors - different bending and vibrato speeds and width for example. You can speed up vibrato on single notes (I mean start slowly and inscrease the speed on the same note). You can alos add vibrato to bended notes just after You get to the correct pitch smile.gif

Thank you smile.gif I don't have time to fix this one, but I will take on board the advice you, Cosmin, and Gab gave me and put it into my next collab/song smile.gif

So I had one half hour to record a video and since I have been preoccupied with my picking and amps recently, I felt bad having to put out something I am not so pumped about.

I guess one might look at my take as a rare glimpse into my approach to writing. You can see that I have never learned to pick, only constant vibrato and legato. I am excited to see my picking progress in a year after I practice a ton.

Couple other things, I recorded piece by piece, so it's spliced up a bit. You cant hear it but there is a crying baby in the background trying to fall asleep.

Hey mate! Great prog feel around 01:00 - 01:41! What I would like to suggest is that you should focus more on your bends and in the last part, the timing and clean playing need more work - that prog feel disappeared because the definition and timing are a bit faulty.

I think it's a great idea that you are focusing on writing stuff rather than improvising and it'll get better and better with time smile.gif BTW - I can see those teeny tiny shoesies in the background! So cute biggrin.gif

Hey everyone!

Today is the last day in which you can submit your takes so please re-check if you have posted your materials in this thread or if you sent them in a PM to either me or Darius or Gabe:

4. Render one track containing your recording only - 16 bit wave file 44,1 kHz

5. Render one track containing both solo and backing track in an .mp3 format

6. Send us your video (preferably in .mp4 format)

Send us the last 3 files mentioned, using a dropbox link, or any other transfer service you are used to, by posting them in this thread or attaching them to a private message.

IMPORTANT: If you can't submit a video, you can send us only the audio files and some pictures with you - it will work out great as well! The more pictures you send, the better will it be for editing in the final video!

Let's make this day count smile.gif

Cosmin

Also, a mistake in my post, the wave file is 16 bit to my knowledge, not 24 bit, sorry about the confusion smile.gif

Thanks Cosmin, That part I felt good about in the beginning of it. It looses its edge though. One thing that I notice about my playing is that I seem to never incorporate any of the techniques or things I am practicing when I write. I need to work on using all the things I can do next time I writes something. Maybe I will challenge myself to make a technique video solo and see where I am with all the different things i have practiced?

Hey man! Thanks for your take, there are some epic moments there! for example at 1:07, I love that part.

I think that the application of the things that we work on is something that happens naturally once we really incorporate the new techniques. Also practising the techniques an licks over real music backing tracks, in real musical situations will help you a lot. As always, practice is the key, so practice applying it into your solos and improvisations until you feel it natural.

Hey dudes, Here's my files for the most awesome collab ever!

Vid : [attachment=33769:theleague.mp4]
Guitar with Backing : [attachment=33770:bleez_with.wav]
Guitar Only :[attachment=33771:bleez_guitar.wav]
Superhero type name: Beardo Von Doom cool.gif

just a quick note - my guitar only file was rendered by just muting the backing track and as I only play the second part of the backing, the track is blank for the first 55 seconds. I wasnt sure whether it was best to trim it or just leave it at the length of the backing track........ so I left it smile.gif

Use what you like, especially the bit where I remove the top pair of glasses at the end of the take please? My Cam software was playing up and kept freezing, hence the disjointed start and end!! Sorry it's WMV instead of MP4. I don't know how to convert it!
