Per another recent post, if you are not putting your music on youtube, even with a simple still graphic instead of video, you are seriously losing out.

Youtube is THE way that most people now discover and enjoy music. These "regular listeners", we musicians are different in many ways. But for regular folks to find your music, it pretty much needs to be on youtube in some format. Lyric Vid, performance vid, something. To not do so is to shoot yourself in the foot sad.gif See this chart.

So if you have yet to make youtube vids of your existing music, GET TO IT!!! smile.gif

I totally agree! Youtube has been the source of discovering new music for me. Directly - me finding new stuff and indirectly - my friends finding new stuff and providing youtube links to me biggrin.gif

It's all the same, but the conclusion is - I'd be a VERY unhappy chap without it smile.gif

One thing tho - HOW in blazes do I watch vids without having those STUPID commercials be played before the actual video?

Todd I totally agree. Technology will always advance, the devices people use to take it info will always improve and change beyond recognition.

But I do believe there will always be one constant that will never change. People's preferred way of taking in info/media has always been visually. So if you get with the visual side of things you're doing the right thing.

Good graphic! My current list has this order:

Youtube
Spotify
Friends

I still preffer Youtube to discover a band because it gives me a wider idea of what they are doing, the video + audio thing make me get more into their music, then I continue with Spotify.

Spotify "discover" & "related artists" features are awesome to discover new bands, and most of the times I then go to youtube to check one of their videos.
