This isn't news anymore and maybe someone else posted already, but since Cogent don't like me anymore I'm not on the forums anymore.

Part of me thinks this is bizarre and not a good PR move at all by Gibson.

Another part of me thinks it really depends on what is in the patents and what Gibson believe they are trying to protect here.

And just another part of me thinks - how long before PRS jump on this and decide to sue everyone for copyright infringement by having concerts in their homes without a PRS license...

BTW -hope Cogent sort things out for you asap Blindwillie (and everyone lese caught in their fight with Telastra.)

Cheers,
Tony

OK I'll try that one.
I've tried different proxies but I just get frustrated. They've been slow and some act weird.

Not suprised. Gibson is always trying to sue everybody for money.

They also sued Rock Band.

I don't get it, after reading that it seems they are sueing GH because they "simulate playing interactively with music"... what dopes that have to do with Gibson? They make guitars... I didn't know they had any patent regarding gaming entertainment...

It can't be because GH shows Gibson models, because afaik they had an agreement to promote Gibson stuff on GH...

Weird...
