Just heard back from the folks @ LANEY AMPLIFICATION about doing a review on the LANEY IRT PULSE! They are gonna send me one of the first production run and I"m STOKED!! It's

1.)A tube based Laney Preamp
2.)A USB recording Interface with a Tube Preamp in it
3.)A Stomp Box Clean Boost with an actual Tube in it.

In short, it's freaking spiff and I've been jonesing to try once since I saw them @ NAMM via youtube.

I've been looking into getting the Iron Heart Studio - but this has surely peaked my interest as well!

Keep in mind that this is quite a step down from the IRT studio smile.gif For the price, this will be hard to beat, but it's only got two knobs. The rest of the adjustments are on/off style buttons. So while this will be a very affordable way to get LANEY tube goodness in your hands, it's not a full Laney Tube Stack with trimmings like the IRT STUDIO is. Also, it has lots of gain, but won't have quite as much as the studio.

It's a tube based usb preamp/interface. It would add lots of tone/character to any guitar plugin you used it with to be sure. If anything could bring a plugin to live, it's this product smile.gif

I would not pick it instead of the IRT STUDIO for live use though. It's just a stomp in a live situation, not a multichannell preamp like the studio.

Bang for the buck, this is hard to beat!! But just be sure to pick the right bit of kit for your needs smile.gif
