I was just curious if anyone is in the same area as me. I'm from Wilmington, North Carolina. But I've been living in the DC area for the last 2 years. I'm going to be moving back to NC in August though.

That's three on the site that I know of that are in the DC area. I'm out in Centreville, VA. The other guys can probably speak up for themselves.

I've lived within 30 miles of where I live now for gosh, almost 25 years now. Which is kinda odd, because looking back as a kid, it seemed like I moved around lot more.

Certainly the Guitar Capital smile.gif

Lawrence Kansas, University town of about 80,000, just west of Kansas City (world renowned for holding the record for the most guitarists playing a song (Smoke on the Water) simultaneously. The guy who invented basketball has his bones buried here. Unless Roy and Dean secretly exhumed them when nobody was looking and took them to Carolina (wouldn't put it past them). Kansas is famous for The Wizard of Oz. Thats about it.

edited: more detail.

Nope, i assure you that place is Oxford Mississippi. University of Mississippi. You are never going to approach the sexy women reading you get in a town with a state University in the US. University of Kansas is pretty high i would say on that list good. But i will defer to the Southern Girls.

Besides, I learned that it is a myth that Sweedish women all have huge wabongas. I understand that statistically, that is not the case at all.

Posted by: Henrik Skotth Jun 8 2007, 12:08 PM

I live on a hill, called Kinnekulle, surrounded by flatlands on one side and the lake Vänern (biggest lake in Europe, outside of Russia) on the other. We live on the southeastern side, towards the flatlands, with a fantastic 40 kilometer view that is the most stunning in the mornings (the sunrise) and when it's foggy, actually (because there is almost never any fog up here, only in the flatlands, which looks quite fascinating).

Our house is called "The Sunny Hillside" (Solbacken in swedish, we don't have streetnames out here where I live), and it really lives up to that name smile.gif

Anyway, I used to live in Gothenburg for five years before moving here, and following up on the "capital of"-trend, I'd say it's the swedish capital of humour...!
(let's see if the rest of the swedes agree wink.gif )

I've lived in 5 states over the 17-year course of my life - PA, WA, FL, NJ, and now TX. I currently reside in Austin TX about 15 miles from Downtown out near Cedar Park (the suburbs). It's pretty cool here - lots of culture and such. Lots and Lots of music (most of which is just bad bar bands though). Austin is sometimes referred to as "The Live Music Capital of the World" though.

And we have ACL and SXSW! w00t.

I'll be going to college in Chicago in a year though. smile.gif I can't wait! I love cities!
