at the start you use chords in octaves but what does this actually mean? and how do i form them? -------------------- The only man it's OK to love is Paul Gilbert.

When I play two notes octavated (Octaves) I play the same note in differents octaves at the same time... For example I play a D in the 5th fret on A string and at the same time I play D note in the 7th fret on the G string. The other string should be muted.

so if i play a A on the E string 5th fret and play a A on the D string 7th fret im playing an octave right?
