> IS THAT YOUR MAMA?

Nope didn't think so either. We all know parents don't get this.

I can show you how to be the virtuoso your folks could only dream about, but I first need your help:

* Pm me and I will show you where to start. I am online every day and I will help you out directly!

* Join my mentoring program. I will customize your learning experience in a way you haven't experienced before. We will have regular contact so that you can remain inspired every day and eventually reach a new level.

* Join my next video chat! GMC startpage holds a video chat schedule. We always cover a lot of ground and have fun. Remember that you don't need any previous knowledge, and you can be passive in the chat.

* Jam with me - you will find active collabs here.

* Post a topic on this board, guitar related or not - doesn't matter! You will find that chatting with instructors boosts your motivation to practice.

* You haven't missed my latest video lessons, have you?

* Oh and did you know that to become a killer guitarist you just need to focus on one thing? Everything
else is secondary. Pm me and I will explain.

I'm pretty new to GMC, and just stumbled into the collaboration section, and this one is my favorite!! Well....I'm partial to the funk!! Anyway, I'm about to upload my own crappy vid version for fun, although I know I'm too late to make the actual collab video final. But for fun, gonna rock one anyway (jest try and stop me!!!).

I need to get a recording interface for my laptop, so I can actually submit good audio only tracks in the future.

I know it's too late for an "official" submission, but here's my "un-official" submission just for fun!!

I only gave it a few tries, so there is certainly an element of "improv" in there (such as my stumble around the 0:20 mark) but I think it came out alright. My biggest challenge was trying to incorporate the "common notes" into the solo over the chord changes..... I normally wouldn't hit those notes, and gravitate more towards marking the chord change with a B or G note. Anyway, it forced me to try some new stuff. Playing my trusty 97' Parker Nitefly, through a Roland MicroCube for the sweetest tone a $99 amp can produce!! tongue.gif
But really, the roland isn't half bad....still wish I had a blue jr for a practice amp instead!!

Fun times at "work" today!! I sell mattresses, so I get to rip guitar all day until someone comes in!!

Thanks for the awesome collab/rhythm track Cosmin!! I'll be getting an audio interface here shortly (I hope), so I won't have to keep submitting crappy cam vids.

Hey there! The take is very good mate! TOo bad you didn't have the possibility to submit all the necessary things in time. I will make more funky oriented collabs so stick around biggrin.gif
PS: I'm glad you decided to post, as in this way I shall let you know when I'm doing another one which you might like wink.gif

Thanks Cosmin!! I'm still stumbling upon all of the cool features here (such as the collabs), so I found this one a little too late. But the backing track was way too fun NOT to submit a vid!! Thanks for the support and hard work, and I'll certainly keep an eye out for future collabs!

Howdy guys! Check out the final mix and stay tuned for the new video collab starting tomorrow morning biggrin.gif SURPRISEE! biggrin.gif

I decided to keep this one short and sweet!

Dinaga - your metal approach was very good - maybe even a bit surf inspired? biggrin.gif I hear a lot of tremolo picking there and some slides!

Rammikin - nice take from you as well mate! I think you were a bit unsure regarding some note choices but it wrapped itself nicely in the end smile.gif

Cheers and thanks for participating guys!

Cosmin

Great playing Cosmin! You really got the groove there.

I don't know why my take is off beat but hey, good collab anyway. Cheers mate

I really like your take like this, I mean when I noodled with the takes in the DAW it seemed very nice like this so, I used it as you see it now. Hope you're not upset mate sad.gif

Of course not, I guess I got used to the other way so much, but I see what you did and it is a really interesting approach. smile.gif

Thanks Cosmin for doing collab. I learned a lot about what I need to work on, which is what I wanted to get out of this.
