@Eat - Would you then say that I am arrogant as well if I don't listen other music? smile.gif

To be honest with you, I don't really listen to other music smile.gif I used to listen a lot, but now I'm in a phase that I am listening music in my head.. at my home most of the time is complete silence, because I like to hear my thoughts clearly, and always have one of guitars nearby in case I get a musical idea. I don't think it would make me an arrogant person smile.gif

No I wouldnt. I dont think Yngwie is doing what your doing though. I dont know. I feel that the fact he doesnt listen to other music shines through on his albums. None of you can deny that when you read the interview there wasnt at all any points where you thought he was being a little bit arrogant ?

Maybe thats what comes with being a great composer......

So wrong! You took that completely out of it's context! dry.gif He never claimed to be an artist, an inventor like Da Vinci or Picasso. He only said he couldn't work in a band situation but wanted to make all the creations himself and stay in total control. And drew a parallell between himself, Da Vinci and Picasso being the same type of persons, ~control freaks who work on their own. Had nothing to do with being genious. Such conclusions is like plain bad journalism when picking out the goodies without bothering about the real meaning of what was being said.

I agree with you mickem, however it's still not a humble comparison biggrin.gif

I dont take a blind bit of notice of Yngwie's eccentricities, for me that’s just funny ! Further more I think he is nothing short of Genius, and his music gets me "excited" like no other musician!! I play his Japanese Philharmonic performance every day and it inspires me to be a better player biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
