He never claimed to be an artist, an inventor like Da Vinci or Picasso. He only said he couldn't work in a band situation but wanted to make all the creations himself and stay in total control. And drew a parallell between himself, Da Vinci and Picasso being the same type of persons, ~control freaks who work on their own. Had nothing to do with being genious. Such conclusions is like plain bad journalism when picking out the goodies without bothering about the real meaning of what was being said.
