Ok so this is how the things are:
- I am a rookie - I want an allround electric guitar (I like the clean sound, but I like a lot of distortion too;)) (important) - I DO care about the looks ( I like it slick, not to overdone) - I want to spend 450 euros at most!(~575 dollar) - I also still need an amp I play guitar seriously for about 2 months now, and I have borrowed a Squire stratocaster (from SebastiaanNL, thx!) and a cheap orange amp (from timono, thx!). I am not satisfied with borrowing all my stuff, so I want to buy a guitar. I was thinking about the 3 following guitars: The Yamaha RGX A2 (Info: http://www.imuso.co.uk/directory/reviews/e...maha-rgxa2.htm) The Epiphone SG G-400 ''1966'' ( http://www.feedback.nl/?b=EP1966SGCH&a= <- Dutch site) The Ibanez SAS 32 EX WH ( http://www.piens.com/product/Ibanez/SAS-32-EX-WH/nl/55353 <- best info i could find) Can anyone help me? OK, so 1 more thing: My amp. I want an amp for 250 euros (~315 dollar). It has to be transportable by bike. Anyone any ideas? (All the same as with the guitar: I like it clean and distorted ) Thanks in advance!! This post has been edited by Connie4: Feb 27 2009, 09:39 PM |

I would agree with Zakk, my suggestion would be:
EPIPHONE LP STANDARD PLAIN TOP HB As for the amp, it's pretty difficult to find something that is portable on a bike. This is my suggestion, but I don't think it's to bike-portable: VOX VT30 -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

If you're able to squeeze a lil' bit more cash, you can also look into B.C.Rich guitars, they're among the best in their price range, IMHO.
I own this one, a find it a great deal better than any ESP, Cort, or Schecter I tried in that price range. Neck-through construction, mahogany body, Rockfield pickups, additional controls...dunno, I love their whole series, very very versatile... : http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product...itar?sku=512669 My friend has this one, great as well: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product...itar?sku=512668 Dunno 'bout Ibanez and Epi though... -------------------- A kick in the butt is only another step forward...
.:G.E.A.R:. Guitars: B.C.Rich Assasin QX6 // Jolana Galaxis (modded by me) // Melodija Menges nylon-acoustic // Vintage EJM-96 Bass Amps: Marshall AVT50X combo // Roland MicroCube // some cr***y old Newport with a 12" speaker Effects: Boss GT-10 |

I would agree with Zakk, my suggestion would be: EPIPHONE LP STANDARD PLAIN TOP HB As for the amp, it's pretty difficult to find something that is portable on a bike. This is my suggestion, but I don't think it's to bike-portable: VOX VT30 I really agree with that suggestion aswell. I've tried quite a few Epi LP's over the years, and i havent played one i didnt like. I also had a similar vox not so long ago, the AD-VT 2x12 50w version which i was quite pleased with. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio
Amp: Marshall JMP-1 -> Rocktron Velocity 100 -> Marshall JCM-900 Lead 4x12 FX and stomps: T.C Electronics G-Sharp, Korg SDD-1200, Emma Transmorgrifier, BYOC Tribooster, GGG Green Ringer, Dinosaur Overdrive, Voodoo Lab SuperFuzz, Sovtek Bassballs, Line6 Tap Tremolo, EHX Screaming Bird. ___________________________________________________ My Lessons!
