Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Downpicking part seems out of tune, may be because strong pressure from the right hand,I tried to mitigate this problem as best I could.palm muting is my weakness. |

Your tuning issues here makes it hard to appreciate the take - I will refrain from grading and give you technical feedback on your other take instead:
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=61008 I am not experienced with down tuning - but maybe Drop C requires thicker strings and/or higher guitar action. And this could explain the issue. Hopefully other instructors can shred more light on this. |

Hi mate!
I can confirm that you require thicker strings for low tuning. There is no way to sound consistent with standard 010 strings. And if you change string gauge, you also need to adjust your guitar calibration for those strings. I used 010 - 052 for Drop C# with relatively good results in my Les Paul. I would recommend those or maybe 012 - 056 for Drop C/B. That's the gauge I'm using here: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Babymetal-Style/ Even with this Gauge, I not completely happy. Ill refrain as well here. To get this sounding right really requires baritone guitar. I see where you are going though and i think you are more than able to play this. Just requires the usual stuff, baritone guitar and super thick strings. The bad news about a set up like that is that it increases the tension and makes the instrument generally less expressive as the higher string tension usually results in bends being a bit less expressive and one tends to do a lot of open string chugging ala Meshuggah. Which is fine of course. Just gets a bit monotonous after a bit. Sor this RED, try a barritone or just maybe thicker gauge strings
