Little tid-bit of a jam I did today over a Gary Moore "Still Got The Blues" Backing.

I hope you like it.

And comments and criticisms are more then appreciated smile.gif

Ok so the lead track seems saturated to me. That might not even be a problem but it's ALSO too high in the mix, so the rest of the song is lost.

Nice to hear your tracks in sync with each other, I think that was a hurdle last month or so?

Keep playing with the mixer levels, you'll figure it out.

Ok so you mean the volume of the lead track is to high ?

I'm still getting used to all of that.

The hurdle last month or so was being able to play in collabs with and without backing, but all that is very easy now.

Thanks for the input. smile.gif

I like your fast licks in there mate, very gary Moore, maybe play with a little less intensity, its sounds like your really attacking the solo from the start, maybe build it up a little more from the start like gary does, nice licks though mate!!

This is not an easy backing to improvise. In this song the less are better! You don't have to play too much notes rather bend more! And there are some extra notes that you can play. Nice work!! Congrats!

I think if you had a little less gain, To give it a dirty sound, it would sound even better. Leads need to be lowered and those synths/ strings should be brought up to make it more epicer-ist. (Yep, its a word)

Those fast licks are awesome, But like it was already said, they were attacked a bit too hard, maybe throw in some legato there and it would be butter smooth.

Overall it was an awesome tune, Is this part of any song or just being kept a jam session for now?

Sounds good man! Keep at it for sure. This backing can be a little tricky in parts and as said before, sometimes less notes played in certain parts can create a more melodic flow. You have got some nice licks and ideas going on in there. smile.gif

Not sure what you use to record but if you can't do mp3 then .wma might be a smaller file size.
If your using Reaper then just get the lame_enc.dll and put it in your Reaper folder. Then your good to go mate. wink.gif
