> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey Mister M - that is some very nice playing, man.

Great tone and very good control throughout. The bending is also spot on, as we say. Pitch control and vibrato are very tasteful.

The only thing that lets it down is that you need to be clearer and more snappy with the pull-off licks like the one at 0:16. You've got good melodic control but your fingers need a little bit of a speed boost in order to deal with the quicker blues licks that you will encounter.

Overall, brilliant job!

To be honest I would not be able to find better words than Ben to describe main thing to workout (probably because he's a pure English biggrin.gif ). There are a lot of good things here - pleasant performance ,good tone, and wide dynamics range in your playing. That's a hell of good work here. The only thing missing is that specific mood and sort of "hard and nervous" execution of sam licks. This time hard and nervous is something wanted. Slow Blues soloing has it's characteristic form - a conversation between long and warm notes with sharp and nervous responses. It clearly visible you "dig the thing" but still missing some details in execution. You're on the very good path. Remember - we speak of pro details, not a basics so consider your take as a personal success smile.gif
