Hi All,

I bought a song book with notes and tab but parts of the songs appear not to be tabbed out.
Above the part not tabbed reads Verse gtr.1 w/Riff A(2 times).Riff A is tabbed out so I know to
play it 2 times. It also reads things like (F5),(Bb5),(Ab5) above the staff with no tab below it.
These are notes not chords like riff a.There is a big difference in Riff A and these notes. There are
12 measures not tabbed out.The next 4 measures have tab below them. These 4 are totally different
than the previous 12.Am I missing something or is this a part that i should not play in the first place?

I know that but they are not played like chords. These are played a note at a time.
They are not tabbed out and I can't read music.Everything other than these 12
measures are tabbed out so that is why i'm confused on what to do.Maybe it's
something simple that i'm missing.

Perhaps it's showing just chord progression for verse,
not how to play it but what to play, dunno.

I don't have a scanner.Maybe I can do this at work.I don't
know if its an error or something simple i'm missing. It's a
very simple song and for the most part I have it down.I
just wanted too get it perfect.

Thanks Ivan

I don't know, but the book says complete tabs. This is not a repeat from
another part of the song don't know why it's not listed.

The way you explained it Lee sounds like they didn't sketch the arrangement very well. Too much confusion and differences. I would like to see the sheet music you are referring to. It will clear a lot of things in the open wink.gif

From my experience with songbooks, usually they don't have the full song tabbed. So it could be that there are a lot of error or parts that are missing. Bring it on to see what happens

Possibly you can sketch the problematic bars alone in paint or something?

As a non user of song books Im probably not of much use, but I guess its possible they want you to play the root and the 5th for each chord as individual notes!

Im not a fully fledged reader of music, but I have enough basics to understand standard notation. It would be interesting to see a snippit if possible smile.gif
