All right, you guitar players who like to through their guitar around your neck, which strap is best to do this with?
I'm guessing a nylon strap because it slides easier. Also the strap shouldn't be very wide would be the one to use although it would dig into your neck more because it doesn't distribute the weight as much as the wider straps. I heard of using a chain but that would dig into your neck even more. No need to mention the strap-lock-downs. They are a must.

I do it sometimes on live shows. First you shouls have a strap lock. Material isn't really important but you should always do it with your neck protected with clothes, never touching your skin. If you do it on the body skin you will end up with some nasty looking scars, no matter the strap material. Yngwie does it non-stop and he always protect his neck with a shirt.

Check my video here from exam at school. I did it on 4:33

Also I would add the wireless system as a safety element. On this video had a cable but it's very dangerous.

I'd be too paranoid about hitting someone else on that stage to pull off that trick.

/of course, the stage could be bigger than it looked on camera, too.

smile.gif It wasn't my instructional video. I am not sure I understood you correctly. It was the exam at "Guitar Institute" in London when I was a student. I got a very high mark for this one.

btw. this is my post no. 1000 smile.gif

I think he meant that its nice that you have something to show when giving someone an advice. Hence having an "instructional video" even though its really not an instructional video smile.gif.

Thx, Since I wear t-shirts often, I'm sure you saved me from some scars. That video rocked.

Anyone ever do a somersault while holding the guitar? Come on your out there somewhere.
