I bought the ME-20 for just 50 bucks today from a friend. I know there are better versions of this multi effects pedal like the ME-50 and ME-70 but i'm pretty happy with this one. It has even got a wah wah (I whish it had more range though)
It was definitely worth the money biggrin.gif It's $360 new

This is very nice device if you need outboard hardware processing, or for some casual practicing/playing. Very cool, and for 50$! - man it's a steal! biggrin.gif

Perhaps if you were with such in person, and listened, you would not feel they are getting them either.

I don't think you can get great tone, not to my ears, with any muliti advice, certainly not one for $500 or under. You really need to come up with the right set of stomp boxes, with the right settings, in the right sequence. I just don't think there is any other way. I use a small one sometimes just for convenience, and get something tolerable, decent. But it always is inferior to what you can get with the right good quality stomp boxes. At least to my ears.

Right. However, the sound is not in any boxes or gear, its in Your mind and Your hands. I bet Jimi could have made a vacuum cleaner sound like heaven, if there haven't been any guitars around....

That's pretty much how Gilmour's sound technician explains Gilmour's tone. Even though he never mentioned any vacuum cleaner... smile.gif

IMO they can never get a good distortion tone
but i would have bought that and put a dist. stomp in the loop
i do like the clean tones with Boss

i think u can get "pedal" distortion sounds, and that's a LOT of good sounds.

for example: i think that dist sound is from a line guitar into a console with some effects, and i LOVE it, you can get something like that with a multifx

Thats a very nice unit and your friend was super cool to sell it for 50$! You should play around with it now to see which tones you can get...
