There are a few pedalboard/system builders that use these midi switching units and make me want to go back to amp and pedals.

Dave Phillips https://www.youtube.com/user/RACKDOCTOR does some amazing stuff, but I'm sure a setup of amp(s) and pedal board designed and built by him goes over the price of an Axe Fx

I think the Axe FX is quite economical for players needing a really wide range of sounds too. But, in all honesty, who can resist having a nice wooden board with your collection of pedals, that you put together, with each pedal having its own history/memory, and being able to control and manipulate those in a live environment. Something just appeals to me about the modular nature of a pedalboard wink.gif
